About us

The Emmaus Church Centre is the focus for worship for the United Reformed Church and the Anglican parish of St. Mary with St. John in Chatham.

We have called our building the "Emmaus Church Centre" since we came together in 1998.

We are a lively, worshipping, Bible-based fellowship which is seeking to "walk together with Jesus" in our local community.

You would be very welcome to join us at any of our services or our regular Open Doors coffee mornings.

We have a close association with St. John's CEVC Infants school and sometimes take assemblies there.

We have also begun running Messy Church at the school which has been very popular! Next one is Monday 19th October - contact the school if you're interested.

With the arrival of Rev. Carol Morgan from Reading we are now planning the re-opening of St. John's in Railway St. as a new worship venue for the town centre. Keep watching as Medway Council complete the refurbishing of the footway from Chatham railway station to the Bus Station on Waterside Way.
