Here you can also see what we believe the Lord has revealed to us, (you should already have had the opportunity to reflect for yourself, pray and ask God for guidance). Once we have worked through the full set of questions we will share the full discernment.
- Jesus, what do you think of this town (Chatham)?
Graham was reminded of a picture David Mather had of Jesus walking along the High Street majestically Katy saw people walking singly and sparsely along the High Street. They were cast down and lacked a shepherd. Emotions attached to the people were despair, hopelessness, fear, confusion.
- Jesus, what are the walls we need to bring down?
Graham and Katy - Separation and isolation. Separation from God in daily life. Isolation, social distancing. People have to do it now but it existed before in superficial relationships and loneliness of many.
- How do we do this?
G&K - Being here and being open. This was connected to the building being in the centre of Chatham and after all this is over somehow keeping it open, being available for people. Being unapologetically Christian, sharing the gospel message. Letting people know that God loves them.
- Will you put tools in our hands to do this?
G&K just prayed that this would be so.
