- Holy spirit, what wrong lenses are we looking through?
Graham – the economy and finance are the core drivers
Katy – what can be accomplished in my/human strength?
- Will You show us this place through your eyes?
Graham – where the Spirit of the Lord is there is freedom. Freedom in Christ
Katy – the potential for God’s plans for this site is bigger than man’s Ephesians 3:20 ‘Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us’
- Father God what is your redemptive purpose for Chatham?
Graham – restoring the life of Christ to the High Street. This church was built on the fact that people lived above the shops and worked in Chatham and who came to this church. In the re-building of Chatham bringing people back into the town centre that Christ will be there in the heart. Jesus loves Chatham
Katy – season of ‘shutting down’. Things dying going into dormancy; but as a root or seed remains in the ground to come back to life when the season is right.
Graham – coppiced stump the main trunk is cut down but many new stems grow from it.
- Holy Spirit, are there any barriers stopping You from working here?
Graham – the denial of the person and work of the Holy Spirit (even in the church)
Katy – a hard, barren, rocky ground that needs the work of prayer - soaking rain, fertilizer and compost – worship and faith
